AMABILIA, MILAN

      AMABILIA, MILAN
      AMABILIA, MILAN

Amabilia is a lifestyle project that started out in Milan and in Venice, with plans to expand to other Italian cities. Amabilia restitutes the elegant atmosphere of a home in the center of Italy's capitals of art, culture and fashion. Made-to-measure furnishings harmonize with elements of historical value, with the warmth of an all-Italian welcome and the privilege of enjoying breathtaking views. The interior design is by Federico Peri, featuring furnishings by Molteni&C.

      D.151.4 ARMCHAIRS GIO PONTI

Far from every common idea, far from the ordinary, a step beyond the idea of luxury itself. Amabilia Milano is a project whose scope is to offer to those who can enjoy it, a unique, unforgettable experience: immersed in the heart of Milan from a more than just privileged position, a breathtaking view onto the spectacular Duomo square, the city’s heart.

VICINO TABLE COFFEE TABLES FOSTER + PARTNERS

Private, independent, and located on the last floor of the recently restored XIXth century building - Palazzo Carminati - maintaining the original architectural design fascination intact.

Their names - Montenapoleone, Triennale, Scala and Aperitivo - pay homage to fashion, design, culture and the Milanese style.

Effectively they represent an ideal tour of the capital of Lombardy. It is as if by visiting the various rooms the guest revisits the key places of the city again starting out from the common area - a living room which reflects the characteristic Milanese sobriety - and experiences that peculiar mix of comfort and luxury which live together here in rational harmony. The design of the internal parts bears the name of the Federico Peri studio, the founder of which is one of the most important names in Italian design.

      D.151.4
      D.151.4

Nautical furnishings had long been a source of fascination for Gio Ponti when he was commissioned to design an armchair for four ocean liners and two cruises between 1949–1951: the Conte Grande, the Africa, the Oceania, the Conte Biancamano, the Andrea Doria and the Giulio Cesare. His creation, D.151.4, appeared on each, with slight variations in design to match the ship’s interior. This piece captures the spirit of refined travel, blending timeless style with thoughtful ergonomics.

Originally created in 1953 for his private residence on Via Dezza in Milan and reintroduced by Molteni&C from Ponti’s own archival drawings, the piece captures the designer’s modernist spirit, inviting a dialogue between history and contemporary living.
