Balancing softness with structure, the Augusto sofa by Vincent Van Duysen is a rarity among Molteni&C sofas in that it is a non-modular design. Built upon a painted aluminum base, this model's inviting shape is optimized for the various ways the body tends to relax into a sofa. The seat depth, the softness of the cushions and the height, depth and shape of the arms all coalesce into one thoughtful design crafted to maximize comfort.
Augusto's elegant contrast piping traces its sinuous lines, adding definition and visual interest.

For weekly cleaning, use a vacuum cleaner with soft brushes and a clothes brush along the direction of the pile. To resolve crushing from use we advise regularly steam ironing the surfaces, always taking care to use a cloth between fabric and iron. If dry cleaning is necessary please refer to specialised firm, providing the technical reference sheet that comes along with the product itself. Take care to use the wash cycle temperature indicated, use the wash cycle programme without spin dry and not to overload the drum. Use neutral detergents which do not contain bleach or visual whiteners and protect velcro."

“For this new sofa, we have accentuated its architectural and graphical presence. The proportions are generous with more voluminous elements, a clean departure from previous work with Molteni&C” states Vincent Van Duysen
The key to Augusto’s timeless aesthetic is the balance of soft, upholstered seats with the sophistication of its modern metal structure, creating a uniquely harmonious design that blends seamlessly with a multitude of environments. To enhance Augusto's unique silhouette, elegant piping runs along the cushions, defining their shape.
