Porta Volta

Wood

• For everyday maintenance dust with a soft dry cloth. For greasy, oily marks (fingerprints) we advise cleaning the surface with alcohol diluted in water, drying immediately with a soft cloth. Products containing acetone, bleach and solvents should be avoided, as should abrasive products, furniture wax and hard fibre cloths (linen and synthetics) which could ruin and/or scratch surfaces. All these operations should be carried out with great care, avoiding heavy pressure. Exposure to direct sunlight can alter the paint or wood colour. For gloss finishes, continued maintenance in time may cause scratching and a reduction in the shiny effect.

Bouclé

• For weekly cleaning, use a vacuum cleaner with soft brushes and a clothes brush along the direction of the pile. If done carefully, this will result in an even fabric surface and will maintain the aesthetic and mechanical properties of the covers over time. To remove creases caused by use, place a cloth over the fabric and press with a steam iron. If dry cleaning is necessary please refer to specialised firm, providing the technical reference sheet that comes along with the product itself.

Jacquard

• For everyday cleaning of fabric covers, wipe with a soft cloth to remove dust. For stains, immediately treat the surface using a clean white cloth dampened with lukewarm water, treating the stain from the outside in. When necessary, dampen the cloth with a solution of water and pH-neutral soap. Do not apply the solution directly to the fabric. To remove dirt and residue of the solution after cleaning, wipe the surface with a microfibre cloth dampened with lukewarm water. Let dry outdoors. Do not steam the upholstery. Iron on the reverse using a low temperature. COVERS Warning: Before washing, cover the Velcro on each lining with a strip of its mate to prevent damage to the lining. Carefully follow the washing instructions for each type of fabric. For household washing, when acceptable, do not roll or wring out the covers. Wash upholstery inside out using neutral soap, free of optical brighteners. Check the detergent label, since common detergents contain optical bleaching agents, that is, bleaching agents that will cause streaks and halos to appear, along with significant discolouration.
