Office of Thierry W. Despont LTD
Pierre Cartier arrivò a New York nel 1909. Si racconta che nel 1917 ottenne la villa sulla Fifth Avenue in cambio di una straordinaria collana di perle. Un tempo residenza privata e oggi edificio iconico, gli interni della villa sono stati reinterpretati dall’architetta Laura Gonzalez, unendo un lusso raffinato a un’atmosfera calda e accogliente. A questo progetto dello studio Office of Thierry W. Despont LTD, Molteni&C ha contribuito con una selezione curata di arredi e design.

To bring back to life the boutique as it probably was when Louis Cartier moved into rue de la Paix in the late 19th Century; to imagine the interiors as he would have done; to rebuild them starting from his original archives; to work using the garlanded tables he so loved. This is the approach which guided architects Sylvain and François Dubuisson in their restoration of the historic Paris boutique. And the result of this careful and delicate operation, finished in December 2005, fully justifies the approach, featuring a curated contribution by Molteni&C.
