The result of many years of collaboration between Jean Nouvel and Molteni&C, the SKiN sofa is constructed of a self supporting hide leather cover with a special pattern — a texture crossed by light and suspended in space. Leather without body reshapes itself over time so that innovation and memory hold the same form. The SKiN sofa is the recipient of the 2008 Red Dot Best of the Best Award, 2008, the 2008 ELLE DECOR Design Award, and appeared in the 2008 ADI Index.

Jean Nouvel, a long-term collaborator of Molteni&C whose designs have become icons of the brand, was awarded the Pritzker Prize in 2008.
