Bridging the disciplines of design and architecture, the Architettura tray embodies Gio Ponti’s holistic vision that sees life and art as one. Its bold hexagonal shape recalls a form that has long been central to Ponti’s architectural explorations. Forgoing traditional handles, the tray becomes a pure expression of form, creating a decorative object that mirrors the language of architecture. In polished stainless steel, the reflective tray can be used as a foundation for additional Gio Ponti Objects or as a designated home for small everyday essentials.

      Metal

      • In order to maintain the aesthetic characteristics of these finishes over time and avoid rust, regular, methodical and meticulous cleaning is necessary. For everyday maintenance, dust with a soft dry cloth. For greasy oily marks (fingerprints) we advise cleaning the surfaces with normal liquid detergents for glass. Products containing solvents and/or alcohol and hard fibre cloths (linen and synthetics) should be avoided, as they could ruin and/or scratch surfaces. Require monthly maintenance with specific metal cleaning/polishing products.

      ARCHITETTURA

Transcending the dichotomy between architecture and design, Architettura tray by Gio Ponti reveals the two disciplines as complementary and inseparable forces. Inspired by architectural principles, its hexagonal shape recalls a form that has long been central to Ponti’s architectural explorations. Ponti consistently interpreted his surroundings through an architectural lens, channeling that vision to create beauty in everyday life.
